My Vacation Part 1...

The Football Game
This past week I was on vacation and was able to see my nephews play football, go on a field trip with another nephew, see one play soccer and go to my brothers 40Th birthday party. These are some pictures from the game I will try and post some from all of the other activities over the next few days. The first picture up top is Spanky (85) and the Quarterback (22) in on the offense during this time they scored a touchdown! It was way cool they are both second string offense and first string defense where they both play defensive end. Their season is 4-1 which is great. The next shot was after the game, yes they both are really freshmen in high school!
C-bear and E. came with their mama to the game they had a good time eating hot dogs and cheesy pretzels! The bottom of shot of E. is after the game modeling...wait for it his Daphne shoes for his Halloween costume! Yes he will be Daphne from Scooby-doo and C-bear will be Velma and Mama will be Fred and Daddy will be Shaggy! Can't wait to see pictures of this.

Bub's Playing Soccer

Here are some pics of Bub's first soccer game this fall. He did a good job and had some great kicks. He almost scored some goals, but they were just a little shy of the goals. That's OK though being out there and playing is really the ultimate goal. He seemed to have a good time and Shyguy made a good cheering section. I was very glad I got to see this game and hope to see another in a couple of weeks.

The Wedding

Here are some of the pictures I took at the wedding I attended this past weekend. There are 2 little boys that did a fantastic job being ring bearers. They both walked up and down the aisle with their little flower girls. Although they both had Hello Kitty, bags full of activity items to keep them occupied during the service...along with Nana and Aunt Scooby's camera's to snap off some pictures. One of the only clear shots E. took is the pictures of the stuffed animals...how ironic! They stayed and partied at the reception and E. made a friend with the wedding singer....he complimented her on her pretty shoes(there is a shot of their feet above). Side note the shots of the flowers and the church were me playing with my camera while ChaCha set up some night shots with the bride and groom. Everyone had a great time, it was so good to see everyone, I'm so glad I could make it.

Sometimes I Miss The Airport...

Lately I have been staying up until 2,3,4 in the morning for no reason whatsoever anyway the other night they were on PBS (strange as that is in it of itself). However, they had a show about the Miami airport and how it works throughout the day. It showed the customer service agents working flights and getting yelled at (oh the memories of being told to F. off and what a Bitch I was, to having to call the sheriff for a drunk or combative passenger). They also showed the ramp tower which I worked in and how people direct aircraft traffic, also it showed what happens in bad weather (although they didn't show the people screaming how the weather was the customer service agent's fault....I know I used to mess with the weather to get screamed at for 12 hours straight...It was FUN). Yeah even my mom told me I got mean when I worked at the airport, my own mom! However, in my defense there are not many people who can say that they have had to call the sheriff to have help boarding a plane, because the crowd has gotten so out of control. Yet, there were awesome times of playing games during downtime (Death Is Not An Option, or our own version of pictionary and drama club), the people I met there are great and though I have lost touch with most, I really do miss them a lot. Still I can't believe that I would miss this place as much as I do sometimes...Even to the point that I saw a job posting for a airline job and applied just for the thought...maybe it wouldn't be that bad....yeah we'll see...

Thank-You Good Samaritans

I really should have posted this the other night instead of my paranoid, but I needed to get that off my chest. The other evening I was stopped at a stop sign and my car just stopped. This is a somewhat busy intersection, and cars of course backed up and honked. Although 2 people got out and helped me push the car across the street to a driveway. I thought that I might be out of gas this was the only thing I could think of, yeah I know wouldn't the gas gauge say...well my gas gauge does not work so I go by mileage, unfortunately since I have had other things on my mind I didn't pay attention to this I made a comment to one of the good Samaritans and one replied that he didn't live that far away and had some gas at his house. He left and in the mean time I called my roommate to see if she could come and get me, in case he didn't come back or that wasn't the problem. However, the gentleman did come back and put enough gas in the car that I was able to make it to the gas station. It was so nice of this man to do this and I unfortunately didn't have any cash on me to give him, he wouldn't take a check or anything for this so once again I really want to thank this man.

Now I know people are thinking that I should get my gas gauge fixed, however I have talked it over with a mechanic and he said its not really worth it, it would cost a lot and I can watch the mileage. I guess I just need to pay a little closer attention.

Paranoid

So lately at work I have felt totally paranoid. In my old store I felt comfortable enough to go to management and say how I feel and know that there would not be retribution. I don't have that at all in my new place. Also, I feel that some of the managers are just looking to find something that they can write up or just take note of in their heads.

I may be giving them to much credit, however there is one that I will call Witchy, who has been on me for the type of shoes I wear, and to if I have done something correct. Not to blow my own horn to much, but I am a hard worker and I know what I am doing, I did step down from a spot of somewhat authority and am now just a regular schmuck like others, however in doing so I didn't lose my knowledge of my job or my work ethic. I don't know what this person has to prove, but they can back off at anytime I am tired of walking on eggshells and made to feel inferior.

Really what this all boils down to is that I need a new job, or at least another part-time one that I don't have to spend as much time in this place.

So please Murphy, cut me some slack I really am sorry for whatever it is that I have done. Really the other shoe doesn't have to drop, I mean it did a long time ago and I don't know that I have picked up all the pieces from that, just let me know that moving away from my family and friends was not the total wrong decision.

On the 4th of July we celebrated as usual at my sister J-9's house she has a party every year, however this year had an added bonus my nephew Turtle(his workplace nickname) graduated from high school.
had a great time the first photo is decorating my nephew Q is on the shoulders of my brother-in-law A, while my sister B directed. We decorated half the garage in red, white, and blue and the other in Turtle's school colors. Which by the way is the high school that all of my brothers and sisters graduated from as well as Turtle's older brother.
The next shot is of the graduate and his family. Turtle is the one with the full beard (he really is only 18), my sister J-9 is next to him, and next to her is my 14 year old nephew Spanky sneaking pie of course...behind Spanky is E. the oldest he is 22, on the other side of Turtle is his dad P.
The next shot is of my little up and coming "gay" boy he was showing me how his rings matched his shorts.
The next shot is a line for one of the two pinatas at the party one for the little kids and one for the older one. P. tried to get a swing at the pinata as well .
The last shot is of one of my Aunt's and my Mom playing corn hole. I had never seen or heard of this game, but apparently it has gotten pretty popular, it was fun to watch my Mom and Aunt try and play.
We had a fantastic time and I have a ton more pictures I wish I could post, but due to lack of space it just isn't possible.
****Unfortunately for Turtle, at work 3 days after his party he stepped out of a truck wrong and broke his foot, he had surgery the following Tuesday, and is recovering but really bummed out at not being able to do much for the rest of his summer.
