I Have Had The Worst Day...

You know how you have some relatives that say really dumb things to you, when they don't know what to say. This is a prime example...

At the funeral home when my dad passed away we took turns being by my mom's side. However, somehow none of us were there when one of my cousins came up to my mom who had been in the car accident with my dad and was injured nothing bad, but still sore from being jostled around. Anyway, my cousin who I shall call Mimi (because at one of our family gatherings one of my nephews said she looked like Mimi from the Drew Carey show). So as my mom is standing by the casket of her husband who she has been married to for 45 years, she hears from Mimi, "I have had the worst day, I got to work and the machine wasn't working right and blah, blah blah" all the while my mom is just staring at her.

My mom didn't tell any of us this story until a couple of months after the funeral, and all of us just starred at her when she told us that story. To say that our jaws were on the floor is an understatement however after the inital shock and thought of wanting to go and smack Mimi on the head, we can now look back and laugh.

Sadly It's Been Six Years...

It's been six years since I got the phone call that made me stop breathing for a minute. The call that no one ever wants to receive that your mom and dad have been in a car accident, you lose any thought in your mind as you ask if they are OK...hearing "they think mom will be OK, but dad didn't make it." Every coherent thought you have has just left you, as you start crying hysterically. Trying to reach family and friends, but not being able to talk so that they can understand. Wanting to have just one more minute with him, but knowing that it will never, ever happen again.

That one week was one of the longest one's of my life, it started with a baptism on Sunday, and a Funeral on the following Saturday. I remember some parts so vividly and others I can't seem to recall at all. I have never cried so much that I thought I couldn't cry anymore, and then crying that much more.

Things have never been the same or even close to it...Dad there is not to many days that go by that I don't think of you and wish that you were here to help and to laugh with. I still miss you so much.

I Just Don't Understand...

Since there has been a list of 25 things people don't know about you going around, I decided to create one of stuff I Just Don't Understand....

1. I just don't understand the draw of the Twilight book series.
2. I just don't understand why anyone over the age of 18, liked the Twilight movie.
3. I just don't understand why I can't find love.
4. I just don't understand the government.
5. I just don't understand why my dad is dead, but there a a lot of scumbags out there walking around.
6. I just don't understand U of M fans.
7. I just don't understand why there are so many Republicans, quick to blame the present situation of the economy on Obama, when he inheirted this situation.
8. I just don't understand why I can't find a good job in my field.
9. I just don't understand why people act the way they do in airports.
10. I just don't understand the Detroit Lions.
11. I just don't understand people on welfare.
12. I just don't understand why Murphy's Law is my real middle name.
13. I just don't understand people are losing their jobs all over the place, but there is outsourcing going on.
14. I just don't understand insurance companies, you pay monthly, and they don't cover or take forever to pay back.
15. I just don't understand why a cell phone can't survive a trip in a toilet.
16. I just don't understand text messaging.
17. I just don't understand how some people have never seen the show Alias!
18. I just don't understand how some people don't think Bill Murray is funny.
19. I just don't understand how newspapers are going under.
20. I just don't understand how unions work.
21. I just don't understand pedophiles.
22. I just don't understand why there are so many people on death row.
23. I just don't understand the TV show Lost.
24. I just don't understand why men lose weight way easier then women. (for the most part)
25. I just don't understand not liking to read books.

Sorry I'm Really Stupid

To all of you that have been following my blog I'm sorry, but I'm Stupid and I accidentally deleted my blog. Yeah, I know DUM, I don't get the B, because it is that Dum! So for the next few days, weeks, months, I will be trying to recreate the posts I can remember! Yikes! So keep an eye out for old and new posts. Yes, it is Murphy's Law at work, again.
